  • Of the 421 suicide deaths in the province in 1999, four out of five (337) were male.

  • The distribution of suicide deaths by month varies from year to year. In 1999, May had the most total suicides (48), with April in second place (47). November had the least (20) total suicides, followed by September and October with 27 suicides each.
