On March 18, 2013, the BC government introduced a new law that sets out rules for determining a child's parents whether the child was conceived through natural or assisted reproduction, including surrogacy.
To accommodate the provisions of the new Act, the Vital Statistics Agency has developed new forms and procedures for registering a child's birth.
